Sensor technology is the current focus of the formation of New SME's. EU project experience targets FP7 calls.
An applied biotechnologist, with extensive academic and industrial research and development experience, particularly in technology translation and transfer between academia and industry. Recent major activities have included:
1) The formation of Scensive Technologies Ltd., to exploit the chemical sensors technology originally developed at the University of Leeds. Trademarked BloodhoundŽ the technology has been tested in the rapid detection of TB, both in humans and cattle, in the detection of water contamination, addition of odorants to gases, plant health and body odour to name a few applications.
2) Co-founding ELISHA Systems Ltd., an SME set up to exploit and commercialise the ELISHA project technology.
With the extensive experience of EU projects, calls in FP7 are now being targeted.
